iPhone Hacks Void Warranty?

25 September 2007 0 views No Comment

As the next update to the iphone comes upon us there are much talk about the possibility of it disabling all our software hacks. In an article released today by Computer World apple states…

“Users who make unauthorized modifications to the software on their iPhone violate their iPhone software license agreement and void their warranty,” the company said in a statement. “The permanent inability to use an iPhone due to installing software is not covered under the iPhone’s warranty.”

Speculation has been circulating that the next update, which most feel will be this week, will disable the ability to hack the iPhone for use with other carriers. Again this is just talk at this point but we’ll what happens on September 27th (proposed update release date).
