Instant iPhone Jailbreak Released

If you can’t wait till February for third party apps then today is your day! A group of hackers released a totally web based jailbreak for the iphone.

Based on comments and feedback we have received here are the directions which seem VERY simple.

Visit, http://jailbreakme.com on your iPhone or iPod touch. You will be prompted to confirm after visiting the link, but don’t visit unless you’re sure you want to jailbreak. Read the instructions and then scroll to the bottom and press Install AppSnapp. Safari will disappear and in a minute or so your phone should restart. Wait for the slide to unlock to appear screen and you’re done.

We just used the above method to jailbreak our iphone. The process went smoothly and only took a few minutes. Installer.app live and working. Still playing around with it so we are not confirming or denying if this works successfully just reporting that at first glance things seem cool. Try at your own risk and let us know.
