31 December 2007 5 views 2 Comments

There has been lots of talk about the newest firmware update for the iPhone. With all this talk we’ve heard the rumors, guesses and the pleeding for new features. Today through some really creditable sources (including Gizmondo) we see some of these rumors come to life…

This video (which is getting slammed hard so might be a bit slow) shows off the newest features of the iphone firmware update 1.1.3. Now, we are still a bit unsure on how they obtained these update but non the less the features are pretty sweet.

The new features (via Gizmodo) include:

  1. The ability to send an SMS message to multiple people
  2. Google Maps applications can now pinpoint your location using cell tower triangulation
  3. Google Maps can now display the Hybrid map view
  4. Drag and drop applications icons on your homepage
  5. The home screen supports pagination (giving you more screen real estate for apps and links)
  6. Adding web bookmarks to the home screen

Rumor has it that this update will be pushed live this week, but honestly we’ve heard that before.
