9 Days Left until iPhone SDK Release

20 February 2008 5 views One Comment

Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple announced that the SDK will be launched by the end of February. Well that my friends is less than nine days away. There have been tons of rumors to what we can expect from this release, however we decided not to publish rumors rather just wait for the real thing.

The one thing we do know for sure is that Apple is reaching out to hackers in the community for assistance. Tinycode.com (a known developer of the unofficial installer.app) released this statement on their blog.

We can’t say much, but we are working with Apple and with their SDK for the next firmware release and SDK applications and we shouldn’t be missed for long. We will no longer update our Installer.app repo for legality reasons and you should see us soon on iTunes.

However, shortly after releasing this they put up another statement stating they violated Apple’s non-disclosure by announcing that they were working with Apple.

“Yes, Tiny-Code.com was ordered to be removed from operation by Apple, Inc. because by releasing firmware versions and stating I had possession of the firmware and SDK was apparently a violation of the Non-Disclosure Agreement I agreed to when I accepted a copy of the SDK and firmware.”

Like I said before, nine days then all will be told!

Tick Tick Tick… the time seems to be moving so slowly. Thanks for the update. I did not see that tinycode.com was working with Apple. I just hope Apple doesn’t really screw this whole thing up.
