iPhone Application Requests

3 March 2008 9 views 3 Comments

With the SDK event looming articles are beginning to pop up with tons of requests for new “native” applications. I’ve read a handful of the articles thus far and some of the requests are great and some well not so great. Going to pick out a few of my favorites and then open it up to you. Leave your requests in the comments and we’ll see who is right in the next few days/weeks.

Top 10 application requests (in no particular order):

  1. Screenshot utility
  2. Blogging Client
  3. Radio Client
  4. Dictionary
  5. Video Player
  6. Voice Notes
  7. AIM Client
  8. Voip
  9. Video Recorder
  10. To do List

I realize we won’t here about any of these on Thursday at Apple’s Cupertino Event but hopefully developers are hard at work on these cool iPhone apps.

And last but not least how about a new feature to go along with these new apps: Copy and Paste.

So what do YOU think?

I’ve been using an app from flytunes.fm for about a month now that lets me listen to/save internet radio on my iphone. (It works for the touch also.) I didn’t have to jailbreak my phone & it’s free.

We as a business would like to see capability to alert and monitor email flow going to iPhone devices. We are able to do this with Blackberry, because RIM has built in a function, message with subject provides a delivery receipt.

It would be cool to have an application for contractors to make lists of stuff throughout the day that they need to buy on their next trip to Home Depot, Lowes, Menards…etc. It would be cool if it were built similar to Grocery IQ with a database of common products as well as quantities, sizes, and even isle location.
