Triple Shot Sports

Triple Shot Sports by The Code Monkeys ltd is one of the coolest new iphone games that I’ve had the pleasure to review.  This game is in a rare breed of games for the iphone where this game could really hold it’s own on a traditional gaming platform like the wii.

Triple Shot Sports is the iPhone’s most advanced recreational shooting game, immersing the player in the world of competitive target shooting.

Most Olympic events consist of activities that are traditionally derived from hunting and combat skills.  Over time these practices have evolved into a variety of competitive sports that include Archery, Pistol Shooting and Free Rifle.

As with real life shooting events you will have full control over the aim of the weapon.   You must also take into account the prevailing weather conditions and the athlete’s breathing pattern as these can both influence the accuracy of the shot.

Upon starting up the game you will create a profile and decide if you want to play just quick game or start a tournament.  For review purposes I just did the quick play and of course choose rookie mode.  There are three games: Archery, Pistol Shooting and Free Rifle.  You get scored on accuracy with each of your shots.  My personal favorite so far is pistol shooting because it takes a combination of speed and accuracy to do well and I like the challenge.

Overall this game is well designed, fun and challenging making it well worth the $2.99 price tag.
