Rumors of iPhone on Verizon Network

Since the launch of the iphone there have been rumors as to when and if the iphone would ever be allowed on other networks.  We all know that Apple signed a 5 year deal with AT&T, which still has another year on that contract.  However as the end of that contact is in sight rumors are being revived about a possible Verizon integration.

ITExaminar.com posted on their site some of their findings that make a deal between Verizon and Apple a very likely situation.

Deep throats in Apple claim that Iphones for Verizon Wireless will be announced soon.

While the deal is so secret that Apple will not even hint that it is happening, the outfit had been trying to find EVDO and CDMA Engineers for months in their online Iphone job postings.  While EVDO could cover a wide range of 3G skills, it is more likely that Apple is specifically after the Verizon Wireless standard.

Obviously we won’t know for sure until closer to 2010 but i have a feeling these rumors will start getting stronger as time gets closer.
