Doodle Jump Review

Doodle Jump by Lima Sky has been the #1 top paid app for sometime now in the App Store so I just had to check it out.  I shelled out the $.99 cents and have not stopped playing since.

With a title like Doodle Jump – Be Warned: Insanely Addictive you would think that they are just trying to be cute and clever with their name.  But no, it’s actually a warning because once you start playing this game it’s hard to put it down.

The game starts off pretty easy, jump on platforms while trying to avoid obstacles.  As you progress the platforms become further apart and also some become obstacles themselves.  You also need to either shot, jump on or avoid the creations that are lurking around the various levels.

The game is beautifully simple in design, in fact it looks like it was drawn with color pencils.  However from the first time you play it it will be challenging and fun.

Update: My high score in Doodle Jump as of 02/15/10 is 35,834.  What is your high score?
