iPhone Game: Phase 10

Phase 10 is a very popular card game created in 1982 and is currently the second best selling card game.  I’m a huge fan of Phase 10  and when I saw it in the app store I downloaded it immediately.  After a few hours of playing I’m hooked.

Phase 10 is a rummy style game where each person has to create “phases” or melds in order to process.  For example the first phase is 2 sets of 3.  This phase can be accomplished by laying down 2 three of a kinds.  Once you lay this down you need to get rid of the rest of the cards in your hand by laying them on other peoples phases or your own.

The iphone version of Phase 10 has all the basic concepts of Phase 10 down and even makes holding all the cards and making phases really easy.  There are a few downsides to the game namely not being able to play against other people.  If they made the game network aware and allow me to play with other people in the room that would be a huge plus.

Overall if you’re a Phase 10 fan or just like card games I highly recommend checking this out.
