Doctor Zhivago now Available on iTunes

The classic movie, Doctor Zhivago, is celebrating it’s 45th anniversary and what a great way to celebrate by being restored and remastered in Blu-Ray and for download in iTunes.

Doctor Zhivago, coined “Entertainment of the Year” in 1965, is an epic classic about the life of a doctor/poet who gets married, raises a family and then falls in love with another women who eventually becomes his muse.  All this while both World War One and the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia takes it’s toll on the cast.

The movie stars Omar Sharif, Jule Christie, Geraldine Chaplin, Rob Steiger and Alec Guinness.  Directed by David Lean and adapted from the novel by Boris Pasternak.

We downloaded the movie from iTunes and as usual it was a seamless process.  It took about 20 min or so to download over a high speed connection.  This is pretty typical but I usually just click download and go about my day.

Once the movie was downloaded it played great on both our computer and when we transferred it over to the iPad.  I’ve yet to put it on the iphone but I’m sure even scaled down the movie will be great to watch on the small screen.
