iPhone 4 Released Today

The much anticipated iPhone 4 is released upon the general public today.  If you were lucky to pre-order the iPhone 4 you probably received it yesterday.

We here at iphone-journal received our iPhone 4 yesterday so we’ve had almost a full 24 hours with the device.  Here are our thoughts thus far.

First things first the shape and size of the new iPhone is different (that we all knew), but if you’ve had the 3G and 3GS it doesn’t feel as good in your hands.  The two previous phones had a shape that molded to your palm and thus felt good when holding it.  The new iPhone is more rigid so it’s going to take a bit to get used to.

Once you turn it on you’ll notice the resolution is sharper.  Now it’s not knock your socks off better but it’s definitely noticeable.  I also assume as more apps update to this new resolution it will only get better.

Lastly you notice that it’s faster.  Everything seems to load and execute faster on the new iphone 4.  We haven’t done side by side comparisons like other review sites but take it from us, it’s faster.
