There were a lot of rumors about what would be introduced this year, Apple really suprised us by not having anything new iphone related.

The premise of the game is to clear rocks (or blocks) by moving pieces around so there are three or more colors in a row (horizontally or vertically).   As you move through out the game there will also be glowing rocks that are rotating through different colors.  By clicking on them you clear rocks of that color on the board with a single click.

The game will keep your score as you play the game and also keep a record of your high score.

First the game summary:

Take on a variety of challenges thrown at you by the Heros and Villains of Gotham.  Throughout Gotham city you will find 16 classic sytlized minigames that take you from deep within the heart of Wayne Manor, through the night’s sky piloting the swift LEGO batwing, and even solve some of The Riddler’s most mind bending puzzles.  Each Challenge is linked together by a brand new story, shown through beautiful hand rendered cut scenes, backed by full orchestral soudtrack.

You start the game in story mood where you take on challenges which include:

• Batarang Skill Shots: Players master the Batarang and take out as many villains as possible
• Batwing Pursuit:  In this third person vertical shooter mini-game, players pursue the Scarecrow’s bi-plane using the Batwing
• Bane Boxing: Bane loves training hard and likes nothing better than a good workout on his beloved body.  In this game players memorize a sequence of attacks to the bag and replicate them through tapping their finger on each area of the bag at the right time.
• The Riddler’s Maze Game: In this game players select where The Riddler will end up.  A number of exits are presented and only one is correct.  Players then touch the one they think is correct to see if they can escape!

Overall I liked the game.  It’s different and not what I was expecting but it kept my interest and thought it was fun.  They are currently running a sale and you can pick this up for $5.99.  At that price it’s really a no brainer considering the other games out there that don’t come close that cost 10 bucks.

Lego Batman for the iPhone

Find the right place for the matches and solve the actual riddle!  Choose the right level for yourself and if you don’t succeed the first time, don’t give up!  Improve yourmath sticker ability, raise the bar every time!

My first few tries with this game where a bit frustrating.  Not because i couldn’t solve the math questions but because it was hard to move the matches to the appropriate locations.  However, after I got the hang of it I couldn’t put it down.  I just had to remember what some of the numbers looked like when made from matches.

Use precision instruments such as a pizza cutter, salad tongs, stapler, and car battery to hack your way through thirty different procedures and be the surgeon that your parents always knew you would never become.
